First Time Visitors
  • Who we are.
Snow Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome at Snow Hill Church.

  • When do I arrive?
If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up around 9:45am on Sunday Morning if you plan to attend Sunday School, and 10:45am if you plan to attend Morning Worship Services. If you are driving then you'll be pleased to hear that there is plenty of free parking. For directions to reach us please see the "Directions" page. You'll be greeted at the door by one of our Ushers who will give you a bulletin and answer any questions you may have.

  • What do I Wear?
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not. Whether you come as a suited businessman or in blue jeans that is fine with us.

  • What can I Expect?
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Snow Hill Church. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly bunch, if you don't understand something please simply ask. We start our Sunday services at 11:00am with a few minutes of notices keeping us informed of important dates etc, then we have the Children's Sermon and then spend about 35 minutes worshipping. Our worship time consists of modern songs with a piano and sometimes background tracks. Anyone can contribute appropriate bible verses and some may bring words of encouragement. Everyone participates in the worship. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the service. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

  • Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us we have midweek services on Wednesday night and you can check out our "Calendar of Events" page to keep up with other services we may have planned. There is always something going on at Snow Hill Church.

  • For disabled visitors:
We aim to be an all-inclusive church. However our resources are limited so we try to provide for our current attendees. If you wish to discuss specific needs please contact the church office. Our premises are wheelchair accessible and we have reserved parking spaces for blue badge holders, which are near the entrance and provide space for transfer. We have level access into our fellowship hall and kitchen. We do have a loop for hearing aid users (upon request).
